Account creation:When creating a new account you're no longer asked to choose an account level. You're only asked if you want to upgrade to a paid account. It is not mentioned anywhere that you can have a free and advertising-free account.

The Plus level is now available to communities. It is also the new default.

I couldn't help but notice that there is absolutely no explanation about the different levels and no mention that Plus is ad-sponsored - that is surely going to change of course.

hmm. i thought the most accounts are free accounts. i could be wrong. but i highly doubt it.

winniewong states in rt #1731 that "Free Accounts" are now "Basic Accounts" because "Sponsored+ Accounts" are also "free."

this can be seen on create.bmlBasic (Free) Accounts are "free" because you don't have to pay money to use it. you do however "pay" when you visit a Sponsored+ Account's journal or bml pages that are within Sponsored+ "journal space" ( Read more... )
